My name is Mason Averill. I graduated from Purdue University with a MSc in Mechanical Engineering, BSc in Mechanical Engineering, and a BSc in Mathematics. I have always been passionate about aerospace and found my calling for thermodynamics and heat transfer as I progressed through my education. Since graduating, I have worked as an aerospace Thermal Analyst and a Thermal/Fluid Analyst. As a daily user of Thermal Desktop with a strong programming background, I quickly found the capabilities presented by the advent of OpenTD quite enticing. I feel I am at the relatively unique intersection of thermal desktop users that understands where time-saving automation or extended capabilities could be added, programming capability to address those desires, and willingness to spend my free time developing solutions.Â
For now, I have decided to develop these applications in MATLAB, as I would consider releasing some source code in the future and the majority of the user base is likely most comfortable in MATLAB. Source code is now released, see products section!
